The building has a clear structure and is designed to be easily expanded in the long term. Its linear floor plan and consistent grid allow for flexible adaptations and straightforward expansion along the access axis. The various functions are distributed across two floors, connected by a central, two-storey hall. The ground floor contains production, storage and workshop areas with direct outdoor access, while the upper floor houses laboratories and offices.
The design combines a solid ground floor structure with a lightweight timber upper floor featuring exposed materials and a clear structural layout. The use of wood, recycled and climate-neutral concrete, and reused elements ensures sustainability. The outdoor space comprises a terraced, biodiverse bee pasture that reinforces the site’s natural and productive character.
