The project sees the cantonal school as an integral part of the Bünz Valley landscape, conceiving the site as a cohesive space for nature and education. The new building is sensitively integrated into the terrain and oriented along the Bünz River.
The building's terraced design creates a seamless transition between the existing elevated structure and the river landscape, closely linking the interior and exterior spaces.
In harmony with the historic main building, a clearly structured complex has been created featuring short distances and a high-quality environment. A central forum axis connects the old and new buildings, forming the social hub of the complex.
This is where the majority of public amenities are located, forming a vibrant hub that fosters a sense of community.
The architecture supports contemporary learning styles with its flexible floor plans, clearly organised cluster structures and variety of learning spaces. Spacious learning loggias and multifunctional rooms encourage interaction and collaboration, and natural lighting and ventilation ensure a high level of comfort.
